As part of GVT's nation-building work last year (FY 22-23), we added Solapur and Jalgaon in Maharashtra (our 26th and 27th districts). In July '22, we planted around 43 lakh trees with around 1500 farmers in these districts. Today, the first survey results have come, and I am very excited to share them. Let us look at two case studies.

Farmer Laxman Sartape (Mahalung village, Solapur) used to grow wheat and maize and annually earned Rs. 38,0000 per acre. After GVT guided and supported him to plant 1750 banana trees, his first bumper harvest has been sold at excellent prices. In the next few months, once the complete harvest is sold, he will earn Rs 6 lakh per acre, a 16-fold increase.

Farmer Narayan Patil (village Dodhe, Jalgaon) used to annually earn Rs 45,000 per acre. This year, he is projected to earn 14.5 times that amount-Rs 6.5 lakhs per acre.
